ON-SITE EDUCATION CENTER

A high-quality work force is very important to M.R.S. Machining and to make sure their employees are well skilled, M.R.S. has constructed aMachine shop training classroom in its shop to be used as an education center.  Employees learn everything from basic blue-print reading to part measuring to tooling and CNC programming.

The Education Center's curriculum has been developed by M.R.S. employees, instituting information, procedures, & media best suited to apply to M.R.S.'s application. The developers include college educated employees & veteran machinists. What is particularly special about M.R.S.'s Education Center is that it is flexible which allows meeting M.R.S.'s immediate education needs.

One of the first employees trained at M.R.S. in June of 2006 is now running a multi-tasking machining cell by himself on second shift. A well educated staff correlates directly with M.R.S. Machining's production of high quality parts. The integration of the education center is just one of the reasons M.R.S. Machining has aspired to be one of the ten best machine shops in the country.

"We can find good people who want to work, but often they can't afford technical schooling.  That's one reason we started the education center"
